Art en Chapelles is an association under the 1901 law, created in Haut-Doubs on January 10, 2014 by people wishing to share their interest in contemporary art and heritage. Its objective is to offer cultural and artistic events (exhibitions, etc.) presenting contemporary art inside religious buildings.
The first edition of this biennial was held over a route of around forty kilometers and 11 sites from July 9 to August 21, 2016.
The second edition was held from July 7 to August 19, 2018 on 10 sites.
The third edition was held from July 5 to August 23, 2020 on 12 sites.
The fourth edition was held from June 25 to August 21, 2022 on 14 sites.
