Chaffois - Chapelle Notre-Dame du Mont

Built in 1946 at the top of a hill overlooking the village, this chapel dedicated to the Virgin Mary is more of an oratory than a chapel. This small concrete building is made up of a sort of neo-Gothic canopy with a square plan open on all four sides resting on a circular base and covered by a spire. A terrace allows you to walk around it and appreciate the landscape with a 360-degree view. In the center of the dais a statue of the Virgin Mary makes up the space.
The inscription “POSUERUNT ME CUSTODEM” means “They made me guardian of this place”.
